Beyond The Center (OSR setting)

So, everything I've put so far about this world has been in the center continent, which is probably the most inhabitable. I've been turning over some ideas for the other landmasses.

Some More Setting Stuff

In no particular order, just getting ideas out there.

Grand Strategy/OSR Factions

Working on faction ideas for a game idea, no idea what I'll eventually do with these but I'm thinking it's the same setting as the devil stuff I posted earlier.

Another OSR Ideathing

Definitely want to put some weird aliens from outside the regular multiverse in my OSR spelljammer setting. They're from a universe with no magic and the same laws of physics as the real world but they accidentally punched a hole into the Aether while experimenting with FTL and despite looking like mutant shrimp-squid-starfish they're actually relatively close to humanity (and by extension elves and dwarves and so on) in psychology and have concepts of things like religion and magic so they get annoyed when people assume that they act like star trek vulcans and can't be wizards just because they used to live in a universe with no magic.

Redoing Devils

Was reading reimaginings of DnD enemies and started having my own ideas for Fiends, which I've always thought were ridiculously fucking boring in regular DnD. I've also thought the alignment system also sucked, but the super-old version with just Law, Neutral, and Chaos was potentially interesting, and my idea ended up slotting perfectly into that.

Garamantean Gothic

So, have you heard of the Garamantes? If not, google them right away. Or read The Fate Of Africa. I found out about them through the latter. I heard the part about extensive underground water-mining operations and my mind lit up with a big neon sign saying "DUNGEON". Plus, the whole concept of a cosmopolitan urban society being able to exist in the middle of a desert without extensive magic is pretty cool.
