Another OSR Ideathing

Definitely want to put some weird aliens from outside the regular multiverse in my OSR spelljammer setting. They're from a universe with no magic and the same laws of physics as the real world but they accidentally punched a hole into the Aether while experimenting with FTL and despite looking like mutant shrimp-squid-starfish they're actually relatively close to humanity (and by extension elves and dwarves and so on) in psychology and have concepts of things like religion and magic so they get annoyed when people assume that they act like star trek vulcans and can't be wizards just because they used to live in a universe with no magic.

One of the strongest Monks in the setting is one of them, who wasn't actually a monk before the Breach but was basically his species' version of an MMA fighter, who's pretty psyched to be in a universe where ki is a real thing and being good at martial arts basically makes him a living superweapon. He's also found that looking like the result of a shrimp boat exploding gives him quite an advantage in unarmed combat against humanoids who are used to fighting other humanoids. I say "he" but the species has four sexes and he's all of them. 

Also when some of them started becoming wizards they were able to combine their scientific knowledge with magic to come up with neat stuff like Curse Of Reverse Your Biochemical Chirality
